The Australian Community Support Organisation (ACSO) is a dynamic, values-driven NFP, focused on partnering with government and the community to co-design services that create real social change. We’re an organisation with a bold vision for a community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, and prison truly is the last resort. It’s our goal to reduce re-offending, and our purpose to strengthen the wellbeing of communities by advocating for and delivering services which divert people away from the justice system.
In the Transition to Work Program, we believe work is more than receiving a paycheque. Work provides people with a sense of purpose and sense of self. We’re passionate about supporting young people who have become disengaged from education or employment and working with them to reach their full potential. We provide intensive, pre-employment support to improve the work-readiness of young people and help them into the workforce (including apprenticeships and traineeships) or education. We also work with employers to ensure young people meet their needs and are supported to settle into jobs. We use creative and fun activities to engage and build the capacity of our young people.
The Program Manager will apply a sound understanding of operational principals and service delivery requirements to their relevant program, and guide and support their Team Leader in the creation of a high-performance culture. Program Managers oversee the achievement of program KPI’s, manage escalated operational issues and report to senior leaders on identified risks, incidents and performance concerns in a solution-focused manner.
If you’re passionate about our purpose, innovative in finding solutions, and strongly motivated by leading a team of skilled and knowledgeable people we’d love to hear from you.
