Established in 1956, the Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) is a national advocate supporting people affected by poverty, disadvantage and inequality, and is the peak council for community services nationally.

ACOSS is seeking applications from experienced Non-Executive Directors to fill two vacancies on its Board to further strengthen the organisation’s ability to address poverty, disadvantage and inequality.

The successful candidates will be joining a nationally respected and prestigious Peak body during a time of significant societal challenges and opportunities.

The successful candidates will work cooperatively with the President, CEO and Executive Team to formulate mission and strategy, mitigate reputational, legal and financial risk, and steer the organisation towards a sustainable future.

Appointments will be made to gain the appropriate mix of skills, experience and diversity on the Board.
