Senior Clinical Assessors

Access Care Network Australia

  • Lead a team of clinical assessors and be a part of positive change for aged care assessment in Australia
  • Be in a role where you apply your critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and leadership practice, without delivering hands-on care
  • Many roles with ACNA, across many regions are now available, commencing Feb 2021

Salary: $97,515 plus 9% superannuation and generous salary packaging benefits of up to $15,899 per year

What is the role?

We are looking for people to join our AN-ACC team on a 12 month full-time (or part-time) contract. Using a new independent assessment tool for residential aged care, you will be part of the ACNA team working on this significant 12-month national project in aged care with the Department of Health and have a real opportunity to positively influence the future of aged care assessments in Australia.

A typical week as a Senior Clinical Assessor in the AN-ACC project includes:

  • Supporting and facilitating great performance amongst your team of clinical assessors
  • Learning contemporary leadership and management techniques and watching your teams thrive as you implement approaches that encourage autonomy and empowerment
  • Being a part of your team’s assessment work by using your clinical judgement and the new AN-ACC digital assessment tool to undertake capacity assessments with each resident in assigned Residential Aged Care Facilities.
  • Informing the future use of AN-ACC through your assessments and the feedback you provide during the project that will be directly provided to the Department of Health.
  • Being a part of the ACNA Leadership Development Program to expand your knowledge, networks and career.

Who are we looking for?

If you are an RN (or PT or OT) and want to put your leadership skills into practice, whilst being a part of positive change in the aged care sector, then why not consider joining Access Care Network Australia (ACNA), a forward-thinking and innovative not-for-profit organisation.

To help you consider your suitability for these roles, we have included the Position Description and the Minimum Criteria that relates to this project. There are two key aspects of the Minimum Criteria: You need to be a qualified RN, OT or PT (with the ability to maintain AHPRA registration) and you will have at least 5-years experience in the aged care sector, which could have been at any stage of your career and in any context.

And of course we want to make sure you are a great fit for the ACNA, so we are looking for people that align with ACNA’s values of supporting people to be their best and always striving to learn, improve and grow. Hiring people whose own values align with ours allows us to build awesome teams of like-minded individuals who are able to create the best outcomes for our clients.

Choose ACNA!

We could insert a spiel here demonstrating what a great organisation we are to work for, but instead we invite you to listen to stories from our team in our Podcast and read these quotes from our AN-ACC trial team:

We worked really well together to come up with solutions that worked for the team rather than working in our own little world. We came up with a joint model that we could all work together to achieve what we needed to achieve - meeting output requirements.”

“Having [the] team work together closely…. it gives you a sense of ownership and pride. It provides the foundation of trust in the team that I am working with. It was definitely a really positive experience for me and something I was glad to be a part of.”

Sure, we work hard and have contractual KPIs to meet, but we also want you to have a great employment experience with ACNA and leave us better off than when you arrived through the provision of great learning opportunities and clear connection to the leadership team.
