Our Community and Lifestyle program, My Life, in Seven Hills and Epping is looking for people with experience in cooking and /or cooking instruction who are interested in bringing that experience and skill set to work as a Disability Social Educator and change people's lives.

Job Purpose

At Achieve Australia we are wanting our community and lifestyle activities to set us apart from the rest, and be industry leaders when it comes to variety, skill development and levels of client engagement. We want our clients to be able to pursue their passions and hobbies as well as engage with the community.

To help us achieve this goal we are looking for cooks and /or cooking instructors who are interested in using this expertise to help our clients enjoy a full life and challenge the status quo, by facilitating activities in your area of expertise. You will also be involved in day to day support and engagement with clients both onsite and within the community.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Willingness to undertake a minimum of a Cert III in Individual Support/Disability or Community Services
  • Current First Aid Certificate;
  • Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • NSW Driver's Licence (Green P2 or Full).
  • Understanding and commitment to the Disability Standards and WHS;
  • Understanding of human rights and the challenges facing those with a disability.
