As Disability Support Worker you will undertake defined processes and procedures to assist in providing participants with support to develop skills, maximise their independence, participate within the community and facilitate relationships in line with their Individual Plans.

To be successful in this role you will be required to address the following selection criteria:

  • Minimum Cert III Individual Support or Disability with 2 years' experience working within the disability sector/ or
  • Experience in another specialty you can bring to the program, and a willingness to complete Cert III
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Understanding and commitment to the Disability Standards and WHS.
  • Understanding of human rights and the challenges facing those with a disability.
  • Sound interpersonal, role modelling and customer service skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt to changing environments.
  • Current Working with Children Check and NSW Driver's Licence (Green P2 or Full).
