A leadership role in the Engagement Directorate, the Media and Investigations Manager leads the development, implementation and evaluation of ACF’s media relations, social media and multimedia content.
In this role, you’ll develop and oversee effective media and digital communications strategies to achieve ACF’s vision and change strategy. You’ll work collaboratively across the organisation to increase ACF’s media presence and create innovative communication tactics to connect audiences in new ways.
The Media and Investigations Manager is a key contributor to shaping the public narrative on key environmental issues. This includes leading a team conducting primary evidence-gathering investigations of Australia’s environment laws, policies and practices.
We are seeking an experienced people leader with a highly developed news sense and extensive experience in securing media coverage across traditional news outlets at a national, state and local level. You will be skilled at creating impactful media opportunities and have proven success in developing and implementing strategies across traditional and social media channels that reach target audiences and improve the impact of advocacy.
You will know how to get the best out of a high performing team, particularly one with specialists in traditional and social media and multimedia content and be skilled in developing strategic relationships with media representatives, external communications agencies and other stakeholders. You also have experience providing media and communications advice at a high level to Board members and CEOs across a broad range of policy and operational issues.
