What’s the gig?

The Executive Assistant to the CEO manages the CEO’s office to maximise the effectiveness of the CEO and the organisation. They provide high level professional and confidential executive, secretarial, project, and administrative services to the CEO and foster positive key relationships to support the CEO to reach the strategic objectives of ACF.

They support the Board, Council and Committees of Board and Council through meeting administration, governance support and strategic oversight of Board / Council activities and communications.

Kelly O’Shanassy has been ACF’s Chief Executive Officer since 2014. A leader with a long record of driving transformative outcomes for nature, our climate and people. Kelly believes strongly in the power of the people to advocate for a better future. Kelly has guided major cultural change within ACF and worked with the whole organisation to transform ACF into a high impact advocate for climate and nature.

About you!

You’re a natural relationship builder who prides themselves on positive and professional interactions with all stakeholders. You know how to build trust and rapport quickly and can confidently communicate with people from a range of different backgrounds and levels of seniority, from colleagues and community members through to board members and government representatives.

You’re full of energy and love managing multiple projects and priorities while anticipating future needs. You have strong research and organisation skills and can analyse problems from different perspectives to propose workable solutions.

You’re self-motivated and can demonstrate high levels of initiative, autonomy, and accountability. Having previous experience and success in similar roles, you understand that confidentiality and integrity is paramount, along with ensuring all your interactions as the representative of the CEO are professional and respectful.

Finally, you love nature and you’re excited to bring your skills and experience to support the amazing work ACF is doing to change the story, build people power and fix the system so we can keep on enjoying life in this beautiful country.
