The Position

This position is located within our Training Department which is responsible for the administration, development and progression of various ACEM Specialist Training Programs, as well as the accreditation of emergency departments and administration of continuing professional development.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Training Coordinator within the Certificate and Diploma Unit with a particular focus on the Emergency Medicine Certificate (EMC), Diploma (EMD) and Advanced Diploma (EMAD) training programs and the Clinical Supervision Course.

The position also provides support for the Emergency Medicine Education and Training (EMET) Program Support Officers (PSOs) and the wider EMET Network as it relates to the EMC, EMD and EMAD training programs.

The role is responsible for the administrative functions relating to the EMC, EMD and EMAD courses, particularly processing enrolments, registering trainees for exams, collating materials for training workshops and processing membership applications. This role also provides advice to trainees regarding eligibility, training and assessment requirements and advises supervisors regarding the training programs and supervision requirements.

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced administrators, with excellent planning, program administration, and organisational skills, a demonstrated high level of accuracy and attention to detail and well-developed MS office and computer skills. In addition, the role requires clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience working with physicians or in a health care, membership or academic setting would be advantageous.
