The Position

Due to organisational growth, we are recruiting a Specialist International Medical Graduate (SIMG) Officer to join the College’s Education & Training Department. The SIMG pathway caters to overseas-trained doctors who wish to be recognised as specialists in Emergency Medicine in Australia and New Zealand. Working within a collaborative team environment, the primary purpose of this role is to provide high level administrative support for all aspects of the College’s SIMG pathway, processes, and related assessments. Please note this is a full-time / permanent position based in Melbourne, Australia.

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responding to internal and external queries regarding the SIMG Pathways.
  • Undertaking responsibility for the processing SIMG applications for specialist assessment.
  • Providing administrative assistance and/or input as requested by the SIMG Coordinator or the General Manager, Education in support of other program aspects such as reporting requirements, procedures, website, Regulations and SIMG grants

As a front-line employee, you will have a passion for customer service, strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, data management experience and an ability to prioritise daily tasks appropriately to meet deadlines.
