The Position

Offered on a 0.8 part-time, permanent basis, the Research and Foundation Administrator supports the College’s policy and advocacy activities by providing secretariat assistance to the research-related Council of Advocacy Practice and Partnerships (CAPP) entities and other research-related office administration. This position is also a point of contact and liaison across the College for enquiries relating to research and where required, policy and advocacy.

Reporting to the General Manager, Research and Partnerships and in collaboration with other employees, you will take the lead in compiling, preparing, and distributing meeting agendas and supporting papers for allocated entities. You will be tasked with briefing the Chair ahead of all meetings, assisting committee members with travel and accommodation, taking minutes at meetings and other associated administrative duties. This is a great opportunity to use your previous experience in a research environment to assist in the strategic planning and direction of allocated entities in collaboration with relevant employees and members.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated commitment to providing high quality secretariat services to committees.
  • Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and adapt to changing demands.
  • Highly developed written communication skills, particularly the ability to record meeting summaries and associated action points accurately and efficiently and prepare written reports and correspondence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of professionals as well as collaborate effectively as part of a busy team.
  • A research administrative background is highly desirable.
