The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) is a member-based organisation whose principal role is the training, assessment and professional development of emergency doctors for Australia and New Zealand.

The Position

We are recruiting an experienced Management Accountant who can provide accurate and timely accounting management and financial support to the College and its Finance Unit. Please note that this is a full-time position on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Melbourne, Australia.

The key responsibilities of the role shall include, but not be limited to:

• Reviewing financial reporting for ACEM, NZ Faculty, Council of Medical Colleges and the International Federation for Emergency Medicine, including facilitation of audits.
• Maintenance and reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
• Maintenance of the fixed assets register and reconciliation to General Ledger.
• Assisting with end of month journal processing, reporting and preparation of board reports.
• Relief payroll and accounts payable when required.
