The Position

A great opportunity exists for a Governance and Standards Support Officer to join the College’s Office of the CEO Department. This full-time / 12-month opportunity is suited to a legal graduate or experienced administrator who is looking to progress their career.

In this newly-created role, you will provide administrative support to the General Manager of Governance and Standards to deliver on activities pertaining to governance, ethics and professional standards within the Office of the CEO. Our ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, high accuracy, and exceptional attention to detail.

The key responsibilities of the role shall include:

  • Coordinating travel arrangements and diary management for the CEO and College President;
  • Preparation of meeting agendas, papers and minutes for the Pathway to Fellowship Review Committee;
  • Assisting with administrative requirements with regard to the College’s accreditation with the Australian Medical Council, the Medical Board of Australia and the Medical Council of New Zealand;
  • Organisation of the review and distribution of legislation compliance checklists to relevant units to ensure all policies, procedures and standards are reviewed for legislative compliance;
  • Preparation and composition of correspondences as directed.
