The Position

The Education Development Unit assists the College to respond more effectively on behalf of Fellows and Trainees to challenges and opportunities within Emergency Medicine Education and Training. This is achieved by facilitating the overall coordination and implementation of policy and strategic education initiatives.

This position will deliver high-quality administrative support to assist in the development and delivery of a range of education and training initiatives within the Education Development Unit. Please note this is a full-time position on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with possibility of extension.

Working closely with the Education Development team, management and other stakeholders, you will coordinate meetings and workshops, contribute to the preparation of, briefings, correspondence and plans for a variety of education and training initiatives. Your strong experience in providing administrative support services, ideally in an educational setting, will be essential, as well as highly developed written and interpersonal skills, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.

The key responsibilities of the role shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Coordination of meetings and workshops;
  • Supporting the development and delivery of education initiatives;
  • Contributing to the preparation of planning documents, briefings, reports, correspondence and presentations for the Unit’s work;
  • Compiling, editing and distributing reports, communication and working papers;
  • Provision of support for education working group/s, including meeting coordination, minute taking, report writing, progressing action lists and maintaining decision logs.
