We are seeking a motivated and driven individual with a strong commitment to providing quality training in a supportive and professional manner with an immediate start.

We are seeking a suitably qualified Aged Care/Disability Trainer and Assessor to deliver up to (CHC40315) Certificate IV in Ageing Support for workplace, online and classroom training. Training locations will vary and can be located across Brisbane South and regional areas so some travel is required. Immediate start.

The ideal person for this role will have current experience in both classroom, online and work place delivery and a strong understanding of ASQA compliance, experience in Vocational Education Training as well as extensive and current experience in the Community and Health Services Industry.

As we deliver Government funded Training Programmes our standards are high, and the candidate is required to be passionate about training and hold extensive experience to support the RTO.

Key Performance Criteria:

  • Quality Training and Delivery in line with Quality Outcomes and in accordance with agreed Schedules and Training Plans
  • Facilitation and Organisation of Work Placement and Students on Work Placement
  • Conducting and Assessments student Quality Outcomes
  • Associated Administrative Tasks
  • Contributing to Validation and Moderation Processes
  • Travelling to locations as required
  • Be responsible for and maintain own currency in industry and VET
  • Contribute to industry Consultation and Engagement

Mandatory Requirements for all applicants:

  1. CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support – highly desirable
  2. CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support and/or CHC43115 Certificate IV in Disability or higher qualification
  3. Extensive current experience in an Aged Care and Disability organisation preferably at a supervisory level
  4. HLTAID003 Apply First Aid Qualification – highly desirable experience and ability to deliver First Aid
  5. TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with appropriate upgrade units. This is a mandatory requirement for any Vocational Trainers
  6. Completed and current within 2 years Trainer and Assessor Matrix inclusive of evidence
  7. A Current Police Clearance (QLD)
  8. Sound Knowledge of Computer Skills including Outlook, MS Teams, and Excel.

Candidates need to be self - motivated and demonstrate the ability to work without supervision. This is a hands on team role and you will be required to demonstrate your ability to meet deadlines, work without supervision and focus on achieving outcomes and KPI’s. You will have well developed interpersonal skills, a clear telephone manner and the ability to work independently and manage your work role. Candidates that are able to demonstrate initiative and have the ability to be pro-active in relation to the review, validation and improvement of training and assessment material will be viewed favourably.

If you have enjoyed working in the Community and Health Industry and have excellent references, industry contacts, well developed personal skills and you are enthusiastic about delivering training and passing on your industry knowledge and experience this is the position for you.

The role also requires excellent Administrative Skills and ASQA Audit Sound Knowledge due to the compliance responsibilities associated with any RTO delivering Government Funded Training.
