Our Client is currently looking for motivated and professional youth workers in Sydney to work with young people aged 10-18 in a residential setting.
This role involve:
- Act as a role model and mentor to young people aged 10-18 in a residential setting
- Assist & transport young people to attend appointments
- Supervise and contribute to domestic tasks such as cleaning and cooking to provide a safe and enjoyable home environment for young people
- Follow behaviour support plans to build independent living skills with young people
- Manage behaviours as per behaviour support plans, policies and procedures
- Complete appropriate paperwork at the end of each shift
- Attend and contribute to team meetings
The requirements for this role include:
- A qualification related to Human Services such as Youth, Community Services, Mental Health, AOD.
- 12 months minimum experience of working with vulnerable people
- "Can-do" attitude and initiative to work independently as well as a contributor to the overall team
- A passion for making a difference in the not-for- profit experience
- Working With Vulnerable People card & driving license are essential
- Ability to work shifts (7am-4pm/4pm-10pm /sleepover shifts)
