An exciting opportunity has become available to work for Barnardos, one of Australia’s leading children’s charities. A full time, permanent Tenancy Coordinator is required for the Community Adolescent Programs with ACT Together based in Bruce, ACT.

The Role

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Tenancy Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of occupancy management, including signing up new occupants, managing rent payments, complete property inspections, address property damage & development of robust occupancy agreements.

The Candidate

The ideal Tenancy Coordinator will have:

• Certificate IV in Social Housing or qualifications in property management
• Demonstrated knowledge of tenancy management within a community services context
• Demonstrated understanding of and ability to apply the Residential Tenancies ACT 1997
• Excellent knowledge of relevant ACT legislation in order to research, develop and draft occupancy agreements
• Ability to present at tribunals when required
• Excellent communication skills

Barnardos works closely with Aboriginal Partnership Agencies in the community, and would welcome application from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates.

Salary: (Base & Superannuation)

$71,345 to $75,332 base (including FBT packaging) + benefits + Super. Motor Vehicle packaging is optional.

Additional information

To be considered for roles with Barnardos you will need to have (or be willing to have conducted) a National Police Clearance, current Working with Children check Clearance (or APP number) and for the ACT a Drivers History Check, Working with Vulnerable People Card and CYPS Check
