Work for a National Children, Youth and Families organisation. This organisation is seeking an experienced Manager to lead a small team on a beautiful and remote island Coast of Australia. Working in early intervention support, assessments, referral and case management. You will be a part of the Child and Family Wellbeing Unit.
This role will involve;
- Provide leadership and management to a team of Social Workers
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to team members and manage team outcomes
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that are consistent with legislation
- Manage complaints including review of practice decisions and promote local resolution
- Make decisions on complex and controversial cases, which may present high risks and or cases requiring
- Working in a small, remote community that is currently undergoing significant changes

The requirements for this role include;
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work
- 5 years’ experience of family placement and/or children’s/child safety services
- 2 years’ experience of managing and supervising within a children’s services setting
- Good working knowledge of relevant Acts, legislation, procedures and standards relating to child protection and OOHC
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Ability and desire to relocate
- Experience in planning, development, and delivery of early intervention and prevention programs
- Proven ability to make decisions, plan interventions, use good judgement, set priorities and manage time under limited guidance and within legislative frameworks
- Ability to navigate complex social-political systems
