The Organisation

Our Client is a local Western Sydney NDIS registered provider who is up and coming organisation. This role is managing the services across Home and Community Services, Life Skills Programs (Centre Based) and Specialist Accommodation Services (Group Homes). This organisation is passionate about delivering the highest level of disability services and they have over 50 clients with a view to growing the services delivery reach. They are a modern and innovative organisation who lives by doing their best for the participants and their families.

The Role

You will be leading a team of 15 staff members and is set to grow over the next couple of months. There are elements of a hands-on approach with knowing personally the participants and their families. You will need to build strong relationships and outstanding integrity with the people and external stakeholders who you work with.

The Senior Manager will see you providing strategic and operational leadership for the Service Teams and the broader the Home and Community Services, Life Skills Programs and Specialist Accommodation Services. As part of the Senior Manager, you will work with two directors who will support you to be successful and coach you to be your best. Your role will lead business-critical project initiatives and an ambitious change agenda to deliver leading quality, experience and operating improvements.

You will be a leader for the whole organisation and bring your own passion for community services to this new organisation. They are looking for a person to bring their own high standards of disability services and implement them into the organisation.

As the Senior Manager, you will be accountable for the evaluation, prioritisation, resource allocation and compliance leading to the successful delivery of strategic programs. Further, you will contribute to Disabilities Services’ overall operational, work health safety and strategic planning direction.

The Successful Candidate

Essential:

  • High knowledge and understanding with experience working within a variety of disability services
  • Experience in a frontline management role with direct reports
  • Providing regular feedback, support and performance reviews for staff
  • Knowledge in Supported Independent Living (SIL) and SIL Quotes
  • Strong leadership skills and be able to empower a team to do their roles to their full potential
  • The ability to adapt communication style to a variety of stakeholders
  • Active listening skills and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum Diploma in Social Work or Human Services or Management
  • Confidence in reporting back to the directors and being transparent in their management style
  • A willingness and drive to contribute strategic planning and growth
  • Comprehensive understanding of building and monitoring budgets
  • Understanding of the NDIS and how to be a financially viable organisation
  • Driver Licence and geographical knowledge of the Western Sydney region

Desirable:

  • Policy and Procedure development
  • Setting up new SIL homes
  • Previous experience in Support Coordination
