Our Client, a leading community based charity organisation, is currently recruiting for an experienced occupational therapist to join their team based in the western suburbs.

Our client is seeking an occupational therapist to provide high level care and support to families with a range of needs around autism specific services. You are required to provide a series of services, assessments, planning and implementing of programs working alongside a multi disciplinary team to provide outstanding care, alongside the NDIS funding programs.

This role will involve

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals functional needs; sensory assessment and profiling; mobility assessment and equipment provision; and holistic lifestyle assessment and associated goal setting.
  • Provide training, mentoring and support to parents and families, direct care staff and educators;
  • Work closely with staff and service providers to deliver best practice in all services

The requirements for this role include

  • An AHPRA fully registered Occupational Therapist
  • Flexible, friendly, organised and motivated
  • Have experience in supporting people in a disability organisation with both intellectual and physical disabilities
  • Be able to work with billable hours
  • Strong communication skills, excellent administration skills
  • Car driver preferred

Additional Information

  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
