Our Client, a leading not for profit organisation, is currently recruiting for an experienced Mental Health Support Worker to join their team based in the Central Coast.
This role will involve:
- Working with clients with complex mental health illness
- Assisting clients with maintaining accommodation and being part of their community
- Supporting clients with independent living and self-management skills
- Providing psychosocial support
- Working effectively from an NDIS plan, to achieve identified goals
- Liaising with service providers ensuring adequate support, referral and information is provided
- Adhering to policy and procedures of the organisation
The requirements for this role include:
- Sound report writing and administration skills
- Ability to work a rotating roster
- Experience working with people with persistent mental health illness
- Previous experience working within Aboriginal/Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, will be highly regarded
- A tertiary qualification within Social Care, Mental Health, Psychology or Counselling
Additional Information
- A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
