They are leaders of community services in the St George of Sydney. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Day Program Manager looking for a new role.

The Role

The Day Centre Manager will oversee managing two-day program centres which are within the same area. This role will be a mix of office-based work and working directly with the participants in the program. You will be in a leadership position for a team of established Support Workers with providing support to empower them to do their best work. Monitoring the program is an important element of this role where you will be in charge of developing, maintain and evaluate the programs that meets the needs of the participants.

You will also ensure the program venue is maintained to the high level of standards including a focus on WHS. You will work closely with the Service Manager and their leadership team to ensure you are successful in this role with delivering the best service possible.

The requirements for this role include;

  • High knowledge and understanding with experience working within disability services and NDIS
  • Experience with Individual Program Plan and Behavioural Management Development
  • Two years’ experience working with people with moderate to high support needs
  • Day program coordination experience for people with disabilities
  • Experience with program development, implementation and evaluation
  • Previous knowledge of Behaviour Management Plans (BMP) and Person-Centred Plans (PCP)
  • Leadership experience with the ability to facilitate team meetings
  • Ability to do case notes and incident reporting
  • First Aid Certificate current
  • Good computer skills with the ability to use different systems
  • Ability to manage budgets and implement WHS policies
  • Diploma or Degree in social science, welfare, health or related field
  • Drivers Licence

Additional Information

  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police check.
