Case Worker / Manager, Emergency Relief - South Coast

ABRS are currently working with a Government Agency to recruit a number of relief workers to join their team based in the South Coast NSW Ulladulla, Batemans Bay and Bega.

This role will involve:

  • Answering phones and registering callers
  • Assessing and referring calls to appropriate services
  • Participating in briefing and debriefing sessions
  • Completing Personal Hardship grants
  • Completing assessments within the community

The requirements for this role include:

  • A tertiary qualification within Social Care, Social Work, Psychology or Counselling (Diploma or certificate III/IV accepted)
  • 2 years’ experience of working with vulnerable people
  • Ability to conduct assessments and identify needs
  • Ability to have difficult conversations
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • A positive attitude
  • Empathetic & compassionate
  • NSW Drivers licence

Additional Information

  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
  • Contract position , immediate start until April 2020
  • $47 per hour plus super
  • 38 hours per week and flexibility to work outside of business hours
