Work for a large reputable not-for-profit that provides early intervention programs and OOHC to vulnerable families.
As the Carer Recruitment caseworker, you will work with the Team Manager to deliver high-quality carer recruitment, training, assessment, and development.
This role will involve:
- Responding to carer inquiries
- Develop and implement training to support the development of Foster and Kinship Carers
- Develop and support carers to provide a nurturing, therapeutic environment that promotes the physical and emotional safety of children and young people
- Promote foster care and the benefits of being a carer in a range of environments throughout the community
- Coordinate and deliver training, development and support programs including Shared Lives training, trauma-informed care, group work and reflective practice sessions with the support of the Team Manager
My Client is looking for someone who can work with autonomy and be self-motivated. The successful candidate will have training skills and an understanding of assessments, clinical skills would be highly regarded in this role.
The requirements for this role include:
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services or relevant field
- Demonstrated skills and experience in carer recruitment, assessment, training, development, and support
- Experience in working as an OOHC Case Manager
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, engage with people from diverse backgrounds and work in partnership
- Understanding of OOHC policy, standards and quality framework
