Work for a large reputable not-for-profit that provides early intervention programs and OOHC to vulnerable families.

As the Carer Recruitment caseworker, you will work with the Team Manager to deliver high-quality carer recruitment, training, assessment, and development.

This role will involve:

  • Identify/source carers to support the needs of children living in OOHC
  • Develop and implement training to support the development of Foster and Kinship Carers
  • Develop and support carers to provide a nurturing, therapeutic environment that promotes the physical and emotional safety of children and young people
  • Coordinate and deliver training, development and support programs including Shared Lives training, trauma-informed care, group work and reflective practice sessions with the support of the Team Manager
  • My Client is looking for someone who can work with autonomy and be self-motivated. The successful candidate will have training skills and an understanding of assessments, clinical skills would be highly regarded in this role

The requirements for this role include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services or relevant field
  • Training in Step-by-Step
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in carer recruitment, assessment, training, development and support
  • Experience in working as an OOHC Case Manager
  • Understanding of OOHC policy, standards and quality framework
