Carer Assessment and Development Officer - Identified Position

As the Carer Assessment and Development Officer, you will work with the Team Manager to plan and deliver high-quality carer assessments for prospective Foster Carers.

This role will involve:

  • Development and implement appropriate strategies to recruit quality foster carers as required
  • Assist with the development of recruitment advertising strategies
  • Assist in the delivery of foster care training as required
  • Attend to foster care assessments
  • Provide comprehensive reports on all assessments
  • Contribute to the planning, implementation, and review of all allocated assessments

I am looking for candidates with work experience in OOHC, Foster Care, Carer Recruitment, and Assessment.

The requirements for this role include:

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services or relevant field
  • Step-by-Step accreditation is highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, engage with people for diverse backgrounds and work in partnership
  • Understanding of PSP, OOHC policy, standards, and quality framework
