Our Client is a disability service provider located in Western Sydney. We are seeking an experienced behavioural support specialist to design, deliver, monitor and evaluate behaviour support plans for people with a disability.

This role will involve:

Within this role you will be responsible for developing and reviewing behavioural support plans as well as facilitating case meetings and case conferences. You will provide implementation and training of behavioural support plans to all relevant stakeholders. Undertaking relevant assessments to identify causal factors of challenging behaviours to establish effective strategies and plans that address the behaviour and enhance the quality of life for the individuals.

The requirements for this role include:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Disability or Social Sciences
  • Extensive experience in the delivery supports to people with complex behaviour support needs
  • Demonstrated skills and experience of a Proficient/Advanced/Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner as outlined in the National Disability Insurance
  • Experience conducting functional assessments
  • Current Licence and Car
  • First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain

Additional Information

  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police check.
