Located in Woolloongabba, QLD and working with a team of staff who are providing specialist dementia support, education, counselling, coordination of support and day respite to people living with dementia and their families, the Team Leader, Client Services is responsible for providing leadership, support and mentoring to these Client Services staff. The Team Leader, Client Services will manage all day to day operations of the team with a focus on providing a high level of client service and satisfaction and also take responsibility for ensuring the goals and objectives of services and programs are met.

Reporting directly to the State Manager, Client Services you will also be responsible for:

  • Leading, managing and supporting the Client Services team and day to day operations to ensure a coordinated, consistent and high quality approach to service delivery of the programs across relevant locations
  • Coordinating activities of the programs to ensure optimum efficiency and an accurate reflection of provided funding.
  • Evaluating and reporting on program outcomes in line with the relevant service agreements and the requirements of the funding bodies.
  • Developing and fostering positive and strong team relationships within Dementia Australia, including national colleagues and across all departments.

To be successful in this role you will be a team player, show an absolute commitment to the delivery of high quality dementia services and support and meet the key selection criteria outlined below.

Key Selection Criteria:

  1. Experience in team management including mentoring and developing people in a positive inclusive manner.
  2. Extensive experience working with people with dementia as well as carers and families and an understanding of relevant Service Systems, including My Aged Care and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
  3. Experience liaising with community organisations and other key stakeholders to collaborate on client need.
  4. A high level of verbal and written communication and reporting skills and advanced interpersonal skills.
  5. Excellent attention to detail, with proven problem solving and organisational skills.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline (health/allied health/social services sector) and experience in a similar position.
