We are seeking a Facilities Coordinator to join our national Business Services team to help ensure that all Dementia Australia premises nation-wide are safe, comfortable, and properly maintained for employees, contractors, clients, and guests. This role will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of projects on a national scale; from office relocations, to office upgrades and refurbishments.

Working within a busy and dynamic team, the successful candidate will successfully demonstrate initiative and have a solutions-based attitude with a commitment to going above and beyond to provide our internal clients the highest level of service.

Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager, you will also be responsible for:

  • In collaboration with the Facilities Manager, coordinating projects in line with the Facilities portfolio, including but not limited to relocations, office opening/closures, refits, and project capital works
  • End-to-end service delivery, including the identification and management of project scope, creation of project brief, budget, schedule, project plans, reporting, issues and risks.
  • Assisting with the development, monitoring and reporting on project budgets and ensuring works are conducted in accordance
  • Providing a superior level of customer service by acting as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and ensuring they remain kept up to date with information throughout project duration
  • Developing and fostering positive and strong team relationships within Dementia Australia, including national colleagues across all departments.

To be successful in this role you will be a team player, show an absolute commitment to the delivery of high-quality project outcomes, and meet the key selection criteria outlined below.

Key Selection Criteria:

  1. 3-5 years’ experience working in a similar role
  2. End to end project coordination experience and the ability to coordinate numerous stakeholders, suppliers, and trades over varying projects with conflicting deadlines
  3. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with general facilities management including general understanding of Building Compliance codes and services.
  4. An understanding of WHS in the workplace and its interpretation within a diverse nature of application.
  5. Ability to work both independently with a self motivated attitude and also be an effective and contributory member of a team.
  6. Well-developed written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  7. Effective time and task management skills with the ability to organise, coordinate and complete a range of tasks within tight timeframes and competing deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Facilities Management or demonstrated equivalent experience/qualification

This role does involve regular inter and intra state travel, a valid driver’s license is essential.
