about the role

Located in North Ryde, NSW the Donor Engagement Coordinator will join the Individual Giving team and be responsible for delivering the highest standard of customer service, donor care and engagement to all donors for Dementia Australia.

Reporting directly to the Senior Team Lead, Donor Engagement you will also be responsible for:

  • Contributing to increasing the income of Dementia Australia through donor engagement administration related activities, such as letters to receipt and acknowledge donors, Christmas and thank you cards
  • Acting as the first point of contact for current and potential supporters and the general public through the multiple inbound communications channels, including the Fundraising hotline, mail, and email.
  • Maintaining and ensuring the accurate input of supporter details to the database.
  • Bringing new ideas to the team for proactive approaches with regards to recruiting and thanking donors.

To be successful in this role you will be a team player, have excellent interpersonal communication skills and meet the key selection criteria outlined below.

Key Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated in-person sales abilities & skills
  2. Well-developed oral, written and interpersonal skills
  3. Customer service focused and compassionate when interacting with supporters and the general public
  4. Experienced in Microsoft and Excel and other CRM based systems
  5. Awareness and understanding of fundraising compliance and the key principles of the Privacy Act

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience in Fundraising would be highly regarded
