about the role

Located in Milton, QLD the Development Specialist will develop relationships with external customers with an aim to generate income and to maximise the impact of the work of Dementia Australia. Reporting directly to the Development Team Leader you will also be responsible for:

  • Developing relationships with a range of individuals and organisations from a wide range of sectors including health, residential and community aged care
  • Establishing an effective account management relationship with existing and new customers
  • Achieving targeted income from the relationships developed to be determined in consultation with the Development Team Leader
  • Ensuring activity with customers is appropriately recorded and maintained to provide current picture of work with customers throughout the business development process
  • Tracking progress against monthly KPI targets and reporting monthly
  • Ensuring all work generated from these visits to organisations is appropriately actioned and fed into the business pipeline
  • Maintaining an accurate and current level of knowledge of the existing suite of Dementia Australia services and products

Key Selection Criteria

  1. Strong relationship building skills and customer service skills
  2. Experience in account/relationship management and business development
  3. Experience in sales and marketing
  4. Superior written and verbal communication skills
  5. The ability to work independently with little supervision
  6. Demonstrated ability to meet targets and achieve agreed income levels
  7. Experience in the Aged Care sector highly desirable

Qualifications

  • Tertiary education in sales and/or communications relevant field
