Based near Hobart and working with a team of staff who are providing specialist dementia support, education, counselling, Coordination of Support and day respite to people living with dementia and their families, the Team Leader Client Services is responsible for providing leadership, support and mentoring to these Client Services staff. The Team Leader Client Services will manage all day to day operations of the team with a focus on providing a high level of client service and satisfaction and also take responsibility for ensuring the goals and objectives of services and programs are met.

Reporting directly to the State Manager, Client Services, you will also be responsible for:

  • Providing leadership to the counselling team to provide short-term, episodic consultations, that are goal-directed around the needs and wishes of the client/client family, supported by a structured intake and referral process
  • Ensuring that the coordination of support team provide outstanding, structured and measurable service to NDIS clients
  • Leading the day respite team to deliver client focused supports using a strength based model, whilst being responsible for quality improvements, risk management and data reporting

To be successful in this diverse and active role you will have proven experience in providing clinical support and supervision to staff, show an absolute commitment to the delivery of high quality services and meet the key selection criteria and qualification requirements as outlined below.

Key Selection Criteria:

  1. Experience in team management including mentoring and developing people in a positive inclusive manner.
  2. Extensive experience working with people with dementia as well as carers and families and an understanding of relevant Service Systems, including My Aged Care and the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
  3. Experience liaising with community organisations and other key stakeholders to collaborate on client need.
  4. A high level of verbal and written communication and reporting skills and advanced interpersonal skills.
  5. Excellent attention to detail, with proven problem solving and organisational skills.

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline (health/allied health/social services sector) and experience in a similar position.
