Rural Workforce Agency Norther Territory (RWA NT) are partnering with Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) to find a Physiotherapist to join their multi-disciplinary team.

ARRCS is a not-for-profit aged care and community service provider that was established to operate residential care facilities and community care programs in the Northern Territory (NT). They are currently looking for a Physiotherapist to provide clinical care to ARRCS clients and residents consistent with their policies and procedures.

Famously known for Uluru, the Red Centre region of Central Australia is a desert environment with mainly dry hot summers and cool dry winters. The area draws tourist interest due to the town of Alice Springs and the impressive natural attractions in the area such as Palm Valley National Park, the West MacDonnell Ranges, the Finke Gorge and popular events such as the Camel Cup. 'The Alice' is the second largest town in the Territory with more than 25,000 people calling it home. The town has all the amenities one needs, with shopping malls, schools and recreational activities available.

Key responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Provide a high standard of flexible and clinical practice.
  • Assess, develop, manage and evaluate appropriate care plans and /or group programs for all clients and carers.
  • Creating rehabilitation programs, addressing movement disorders and pain using evidence-based treatments.
  • Providing positive outcomes to all members of the community and always having the best interests of clients as a top priority.
  • Deep Tissue Massage and Exercise Prescription.

Essential criteria

To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the below essential criteria:

  • Completion of Bachelor or Masters of Physiotherapy.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for working in a team environment.
  • Drivers licence, OCHRE Card and Police Check, First Aid Certificate.
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary theory and practice, particularly in community or aged care.
