Rural Workforce Agency Northern Territory (RWA NT), are seeking vocationally registered General Practitioners, to live and work in the East Arnhem Land Region and experience a unique paradise, rich in beautiful landscapes, whist using your previous Indigenous experience and contribute to improved health outcomes for the Northern Territory.
General Practice in the NT offers a compelling combination of stimulating medicine and a unique community lifestyle. The advantages of practicing in the NT are varied and interesting and provide a pathway to develop skills in chronic disease, tropical medicine, Aboriginal health and rural health, that could not be experienced in other regions of Australia.
You are able to enhance your emergency medicine skills, whilst contributing to improved health outcomes for the Northern Territory.
The climate in Arnhem Land is tropical with a the wet and the dry seasons. The area is great for fishing and the oldest Aboriginal rock art in the world. The traditional owners are the Yolgnu people and are famous for their bark paintings and traditional Aboriginal culture.
RWA NT can assist GP's wishing to work in the NT in a variety of ways. GP's will receive a personalised approach to finding the right position for them and their family, and can expect to be supported by our friendly and knowledgeable staff every step of the way.
GP's may be eligible to apply for a number of financial assistance grants, including a Health Professional Relocation Grant to assist with relocation to the Northern Territory.
RWA NT also provides full Cultural and Clinical orientation to GP's to assist with settling into a new health service and the NT also facilitates a variety of education events to assist with continuing professional development.
The Northern Territory is a unique paradise, rich in beautiful landscapes, stunning sunsets, National Parks ranging from a tropical oasis to the Red Centre desert, to land steeped in history and culture.
