WHOS provides a range of alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment programs in NSW and Queensland. Information on WHOS’ services can be found at www.whos.com.au.

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated person to join a dynamic AOD Day Program located in the Penrith CBD.

The successful applicant will need to have experience in:

  • assessment and referral service
  • case management, one to one support and groupwork
  • providing AOD information and education sessions
  • building rapport with clients and to liaison with allied service providers
  • working with clients that have substance dependence and associated issues
  • the use of electronic information management systems including electronic client file and data management, with strong administration and written communication skills

Position Criteria:

  • Qualifications in AOD, Human Services, Community Services, or related fields
  • Experience working in AOD, mental health or a related field
  • Networking experience
  • Advanced time management
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current driver's license and satisfactory driver declaration
  • Experience working in Day Programs
  • Knowledge of AOD Harm Reduction approach
  • Knowledge of AOD, health and human services in the Nepean Blue Mountains region

Remuneration:

SCHADSI Award, based on qualifications and experience.

Salary packaging available.

Please note this position is offered on a fixed term contract basis to 30 June 2024, possible extension based on ongoing funding.
