VACCHO is the peak representative for the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in Victoria.

We have 33 member Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations providing support to over 78,000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the state. We lead and support Aboriginal Community Control and the broader health and social services sector to deliver transformative health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal communities in Victoria. This is an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander designated position, classified under Section 12 Special Measures of the Equal Opportunity Act (2010). This employment opportunity is only available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

About the role

This position will be primarily responsible for the ongoing setup, coordination and management of the delivery of services aligned with the Australian Digital Health Agency and associated digital programs.

  • Coordination and reporting of projects such as Care on Country
  • This role will work closely with funders and VACCHO members to ensure positively outcomes for projects and member initiatives

Essential skills/experiences

To be successful in this role, you will need a demonstrated ability to implement and manage a range of projects with strategic importance and responsibilities including:

  • Project planning and budgeting
  • Establishing and monitoring project controls within quality, time and cost constraints
  • Regular project reports including identification and proactive management of risks
  • Collaboration with subject matter experts (both internal and external to VACCHO)

Strong communication skills, with willingness to take the initiative is essential.

Desirable

  • Diploma of Project Management and/or Postgraduate qualifications in Project Management or Business Management or other areas.
