The ten-year Tasmanian Community Services Industry Plan (2021-2031) — a shared vision for our industry between peak bodies, community service organisations and the Tasmanian Government — is the ticket to guiding industry development, recruiting and training our growing workforce and future-proofing the delivery of much-needed services to Tasmanians in need.

And this is where you come in.

TasCOSS has a key role in overseeing design and implementation of the Industry Plan priority areas.

The part-time project support officer role is based in Hobart and will be tasked with coordinating the administrative and project support functions related to the implementation of the Industry Plan.

  • To provide high-level administrative duties and executive support related to establishing the governance and implementation of the Industry Plan.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders in the project and assist in the project rollout of the Workforce Training and Development strategic priority.
  • To develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including community services, government agencies and officers, corporate stakeholders and other relevant bodies.

TO BE ELIGIBLE AND SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION YOU WILL HAVE:

  • An understanding of project management and experience in project support.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively within a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, while meeting deadlines and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
  • Confidence in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, committee meeting procedures and minute taking.
