Solve Disability Solutions recently merged with our sister organisation, based in NSW, TAD to become Solve-TAD. Our history goes back to when both organisations were established, over 45 years ago. We change the lives of people living with disability through the provision of occupational therapy services, custom assistive technologies and our unique Freedom Wheels customised bike service.

About the role

This part time Grants Coordinator role (0.6 FTE) has flexibility to work remotely or at either our Northmead (NSW) or Abbotsford (Vic) office. You will report into our Victorian based Development and Partnerships Manager and work within a small team of passionate staff across both states, who are committed to raising awareness and funds to support the provision of our service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Determine proposal concepts by identifying and clarifying opportunities, goals and needs of the organisation to meet strategic priorities
  • Identify relevant grant opportunities for Solve-TAD and build relationships with funding bodies
  • Prepare and submit all grants by deadlines to achieve $560,000 of grant income for financial year 21/22
  • Complete acquittals to achieve project and operational grant budget
  • Assist in the preparation of partnership submissions, reports, publications and contributing to the achievement of department goals within budget and specified timeframes
  • Relationship building – able to initiate and build working relationships with philanthropic organisations, government, donors and / or customer service in a not-for-profit / charitable organisation
  • Effectively manage grant provider information on the database and ensure donor information is kept up to date and accurate and that information is reliable

About you

You will have a minimum of 2 years experience successfully writing and acquitting grants and are able to use a data base to track and record activity. A self starter, can work autonomously and are able work with limited supervision. You will also enjoy being part of a small team, have influencing skills and strong written communication skills. You are very well organised with a high degree of attention to detail. Previous experience working with volunteers, seniors and people with disability while not essential will be looked upon favourably.
