About the organisation

QFCA is the peak body for neighbourhood and community centres (NCCs) across Queensland. A member-based, non-profit organisation, QFCA work alongside over 140 NCCs throughout Queensland. Our work together includes training and development opportunities, participatory research projects, network development, sector advocacy, resources and professional support. We also work closely with government on social policy, budget submissions, stakeholder linkages and real-time community data.

Sector Development Lead –Communications and Digital Engagement is a new role at an exciting time for the sector, with the opportunity to shape, innovate and grow both your role and our organisation. In the 21/22 financial year QFCA is rebranding, expanding our digital engagement through a new website, members-only area and online learning platform, and working closely with the sector and government stakeholders on strategic advocacy and policy development. We’re looking for someone who is excited to take a participatory development approach to working alongside Neighbourhood and Community Centres in Queensland.

About the position

The Sector Development Lead - Communications and Digital Engagement is responsible for effectively promoting the role and impact of QFCA and its members to key stakeholders and the broader community. The role also works to build community, collective action and support amongst Queensland NCCs through digital engagement strategies.

This includes managing our online members platform, training calendar and resource library. You will work closely with our other Sector Leads (Policy, Research and Networks and Disaster Resilience), our General Manager and operations staff. QFCA works with NCCs across Queensland so connecting with our members through creative use of technology is vital.
