The Global Health Alliance Australia (the Alliance) was established in 2016 and is the membership peak body of global health organisations in Australia. The Alliance’s vision is to advance sustainable development through improved health equity and health security in our region.

The Alliance is currently transitioning from a ‘start up’ to a mature organisation; and is seeking a leader with demonstrated experience and understanding of global health and development to lead the Alliance.

The Executive Director is someone who can promote a shared vision, cultivate stakeholder relationships, and support Members to provide research-rich and specific content; while also manage a team, have responsibility for the Alliance’s financial management, and lead marketing and business development activities.

This diverse and rewarding opportunity is a 2-year contract at 0.8 FTE, based in Melbourne. The position has a dual reporting line into the Chair, Global Health Alliance Australia; and the Chief Operating Officer, Nossal Institute Limited.

The Alliance is supported by an administrative services arrangement with the Nossal Institute for Global Health. This position is employed by Nossal’s registered company arm, Nossal Institute Limited; who is a registered non-for-profit organisation with the ACNC, which enables salary packaging being available to the successful candidate, in addition to an attractive remuneration package.
