About This Role

The Volunteer Engagement and Development Manager is an exciting, dynamic, and rewarding position. In this role you will be responsible for initiating and overseeing events and activities that will attract and build a diverse and passionate volunteer base. You will also ensure that volunteer training is high quality and that a well-structured program of development activities provides our volunteers opportunities to grow their skills, and most importantly, feel valued and closely connected with MIEACT. Through all of this you will be contributing to exceptional program delivery and cement MIEACTs’ reputation as a great place to volunteer.

About You

As we have emphasised with the title of this position, we are not looking for a person who will just ‘manage’ our volunteers, we want someone who understands that engagement and development are key to a wonderful and fulfilling volunteer experience that inspires commitment, supports retention, and encourages outstanding volunteering work. We value these types of technical skills and experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in relevant fields including human resources, education, nursing, social work, psychology and allied health disciplines
  • Being experienced and knowledgeable in workforce planning and development
  • Being experienced and knowledgeable in training and workshop facilitation
  • Experience in supervising others and providing support to direct reports
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Has an understanding of trauma informed practices.

Renumeration:

  • SCHADS Level 6.1-6.3 ( $96,969 -101,250 )
