About the role

Seeking a permanent full time Public Space Liaison Officer (PSLO) to work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to reduce homelessness and its impact in Parramatta.

PSLOs engage with people experiencing homelessness who are occupying the public space to link them with services and pathways to exit homelessness. PSLOs are responsible for liaising with vulnerable people with a range of complex and challenging needs to reduce homelessness, improve amenity and contribute to a reduction in anti-social behaviour. PSLOs also coordinate between internal staff in relation to cleansing services or supporting staff to respond positively with vulnerable people. 

This role may require you to work across the seven (7) days of the week (including early mornings) if required for operational reasons.

What’s on offer 

We are offering an attractive salary from $81,826 p.a. plus Super dependent upon skills and experience. City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which can be accessed by the successful candidate.

Prohibited persons as defined under the NSW Child Protection Act are not eligible to apply. A copy of a valid Working with Children Clearance must be presented at Interview.

This position requires the preferred candidate to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical Check.

This position requires the preferred candidate to undergo a Criminal History Records check. A criminal history does not necessarily disqualify a prospective candidate from selection.
