The Learning for Life Autism Centre seeks a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join our vibrant team based at our centre in Kew. The role is Part Time, 22.8 hrs per week (i.e. 3 day equivalent) to be worked during standard business hours. Days worked open to negotiation, but our preference is for the role to be spread across 4 days per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:

  • Managing end to end recruitment, including position description development, advertising, interviews, contracts and onboarding/induction of staff and volunteers
  • Tracking and liaising with senior management on the progress and development of clinical staff to assist in determining career progression opportunities
  • Managing ongoing NDIS worker compliance checks and reporting
  • Managing return to work and work separation procedures
  • Assisting with staff human resources queries and complaints, referring or escalating matters if required to senior management as required
  • Supporting senior management with Fair Work and Award compliance

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Human resources or relevant qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience:
    • In the not for profit, disability or child services sector
    • As a human resources manager or coordinator and with end-to-end recruitment
    • Working with industrial award agreements (noting that experience with the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award and/or the Health Professionals and Support Services will be looked upon favourably but is not essential)
  • Excellent planning and time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
  • Strong administrative and communication skills
  • Attention to detail, problem solving skills and a creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
  • Tact and discretion in managing complaints and performance
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive information
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Ms Word, MS Excel, SharePoint and MS Outlook, in particular)
