Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre is seeking a qualified and experienced female* Drug and Alcohol Worker to conduct counselling and health education from January to June 2020. This is a part-time, fixed term leave relief position and orientation will ideally be for two days in December 2019.
Our drug and alcohol worker provides competent client-centred counselling and health education that addresses women’s health needs and promotes wellbeing and harm minimisation. Our care is based on the latest evidence and guidelines, meets legislative requirements and is within the counselling scope of practice. The drug and alcohol worker collaborates with other members of the multidisciplinary team and statistics collection and evaluation is part of the role.
Hours: 70 hours per fortnight January to June 2020 (Part time, fixed term)
Classification: Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2010, Level 2, Pay Point 4 with above Award rate and conditions including the option to salary package.
