Kirinari Community Services currently have several openings available in the Blue Mountains region including Katoomba, Blackheath and Wentworth Falls. We are seeking Entry level or Experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team. About the Opportunity

We are seeking compassionate and motivated disability support workers that will go that extra mile and deliver an exceptional standard of service to our customers.

Our DSW's are responsible for supporting people in their day-to-day living, ensuring they have maximum opportunity to develop valued lifestyles with choice, control, self-advocacy and becoming a valued member of the community. We provide quality 24/7 care in our supported living accommodation settings (SIL/Group Homes) ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for our customers.

You will be providing direct support across a range of customer needs including, domestic and personal care assistance as well as assisting our customers to access and have a positive connection to the community.

We currently have both Part-time Permanent and Casual positions available for immediate start.

What’s Required?

  • New to the industry or have experience across a range of support services including challenging behaviours and or high physical needs
  • Willingness to work a 24/7 roster, day shifts, x 2 sleepovers weekly, public and/or school holidays and weekends
  • Resilience, self-confidence and willingness to engage clients with various backgrounds and needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with clients to actively support individual needs
  • Ability to obtain the NDIS Workers Screen Check prior to commencement
  • NSW Working With Children Check before commencement
  • Basic IT skills
  • Smart Phone
  • Current Driver's License

A mandatory requirement of this position is that all employees working in this position must have received a second dose of the covid vaccination by 29th November 2021 or hold a medical contraindication certificate from a medical practitioner as per the NSW public health order.
