The Carbon Market Institute (CMI) is Australia’s peak industry group for business and climate action. CMI’s 2050 vision is for a prosperous, climate resilient, net-zero emissions world and its mission is to help business manage risks and capitalise on opportunities in the transition to a net-zero emissions economy.
CMI requires an Event Coordinator to join a passionate and dedicated team working with Australasian business leading the transition to net-zero emission by 2050. The position will suit a candidate with a minimum of 3-5 years demonstrated experience in event management.
This is a 12-month, part-time position based in CMI’s Melbourne Office, reporting to the Manager – Climate Change Programs & Engagement. The role will work closely with the CMI team and directly with the Communications Manager. The position term is likely to be extended.
To provide high-level, end-to-end management and coordination of CMI events and projects and to build and maintain productive relationships with event sponsors, suppliers and key supporters throughout the year. Experience in event budgeting and sponsorship procurement will ensure the success of this role and the broader events program.
Key Responsibilities
A remuneration package of $75,000 - $80,000 (pro rata) and commensurate with qualifications, skills and experience (plus statutory superannuation), is being offered.
The position on offer is part time (60% FTE / 3 days per week) but may require flexibility around major events.
