Marie Stopes Australia is on a quest to find a numbers-nerd and sexual and reproductive health economics enthusiast. You're independent and analytical, data driven and not afraid to share your ideas. You're a big picture thinker who doesn't miss the little details. Your idea of a good time is watching a Ted talk on data visualisation and reading articles about Australia's public health system and ways it could be improved. You may even get a bit too vocal with the telly during Q&A because people just aren't backing up their arguments with robust enough evidence.
You're looking for a role where you can make an impact to the lives of women and pregnant people across Australia, where your work and recommendations will be welcomed and will endure for the decade to come. Something that has more meaning than just showing up from 9 to 5. You want the opportunity to tell a story with your data, and for it to make a difference.
As our Senior Health Economist you would be taking existing data and using it to build models, extrapolating on what's currently available. You would help guide us to where we need to be. Advising us on what services we need to be providing, and where, when and how best to do this - with a view to support abortion and contraception access for all those living in Australia.
At Marie Stopes Australia, we believe in choice. Our vision is to help all Australians take control of their sexual and reproductive health, and we can't do this without passionate and committed staff. We believe that diversity makes a better workplace, so we're an equal opportunity employer.
Marie Stopes Australia values a safe working environment. As part of our recruitment and selection process, potential candidates will be required to undertake a background check.
