<h3><strong>What we want</strong></h3>
<p>We are looking for passionate Peer Support Workers who are able to purposefully share parts of their mental health and recovery journey to build empathetic supportive relationships, to promote empowerment and to share information and resources with people living with complex mental health issues.</p>
<p>At SANE we have three teams of Peer Support Workers, focusing on different aspects of the service.</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Peer Support Workers, Groups</strong>&nbsp;- develop, implement and facilitate Online Peer Group discussions on our chat platform.</li>
<li><strong>Peer Support Worker, Forums</strong>&nbsp;- provide direct peer support to those seeking support, helping to keep the forums safe through moderation, developing peer-led discussions, events and activities, and developing the peer support skills of volunteers and forum members.</li>
<li><strong>Peer Support Worker, Support Centre</strong>&nbsp;- deliver 1:1 peer support across the SANE program including triage, welcome calls, care planning sessions, multi-session peer support and drop-in 1:1 peer support.</li>

<h3><strong>What </strong><strong>you have</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Previous experience in Mental Health Peer Work, peer facilitation or lived experience workforce roles</li>
<li>Personal lived experience of mental health concerns, service use and recovery, and a willingness to share your story purposefully to support the mental health of others.</li>
<li>A minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work, Mental Health, Community Work, Welfare or currently working towards a higher relevant qualification.</li>
<li>Completed training in ASIST, Trauma Informed Care, Safe Story Telling and Intentional Peer Support</li>
<li>Experience working in telephone based or online environments, in particular tele-web service delivery in mental health services</li>

<p>The Staff Artist reports to the Gallery Manager and is a critical member of the Dax Centre!</p>
<p><em><strong>In this role you will:</strong></em></p>

<li>Create and deliver a high quality, accessible, empowering and participant-driven arts program that involves active choice and participation</li>
<li>Support participants to achieve their personal artistic and social goals within the program scope</li>
<li>Design and deliver creative workshops to inspire, motivate and help participants develop their creative skills</li>
<li>In consultation with participants, design and review individual Creative Plans and ensure that the studio activities meet the stated objectives of each participating artist</li>
<li>Ensure that for each participant their personal artistic and social skills are taken into consideration</li>
<li>Ensure daily routines and setup/pack up procedures are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner</li>
<li>Actively contribute to the development of individual participant goals</li>
<li>Contribute to an organisation culture based on collaborative work groups and with communicative, flexible, positive and strengths-based approaches  </li>
</ul>
<p><em><strong>What you will need to succeed in this role:</strong></em></p>
<ul>
<li>Tertiary qualifications in fine arts or arts related discipline or equivalent professional experience</li>
<li>The ability to lead, support, mentor and motivate individuals in the creative process of art making</li>
<li>Demonstrate strong organisational skills</li>
<li>Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills including advocacy and negotiation skills</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively both one-on-one as well as in a team</li>

<li>Assessment and Screening of Suitability and eligibility of participants to Dax programs and Services</li>
<li>Review and Monitor wellbeing plans of Staff artists and participants</li>

<h3>Education Program Management</h3>
<ul>
<li>Delivery of the education program</li>
<li>Grow education program participation and build on existing database of education program contacts</li>
<li>Contribute to budgets and targets for the programs</li>
<li>Assist in the development of funding proposals</li>
<li>The development of key relationships crucial to the success of the learning programs</li>
<li>Recruit, induct and roster Education program volunteers</li>
<li>Coordinate speakers and lived experience ambassadors</li>
<li>Manage booking enquiries and schedule education providers</li>
<li>Ensuring everyone understands their OH&amp;S responsibilities and duties for the studio program</li>

<li>3+ years in a similar role</li>
<li>Undergraduate in Counselling, Psychology, Social Sciences or Mental Health diploma equivalent</li>

<li>Program and training facilitation experience</li>
<li>Understand the learning needs for secondary and primary school aged students, especially in relation to mental health and the arts&nbsp;</li>
