The WA AIDS Council is a non-government organisation committed to the HIV response in Western Australia. Established in 1985, the Council leads the Western Australian community in the provision of a wide range of services in the prevention of HIV, sexually transmitted infections and blood borne viruses, and the treatment and care of people living with HIV and AIDS. 

The primary purpose of the Volunteer Program Coordinator's role is the overall coordination of the Volunteer Program.

This will include: 

  • Managing our volunteer resources;
  • Assessing and meeting the organisations needs on all elements of volunteering such as,
    • volunteer recruitment
    • training
    • supervision
    • retention, and
    • recognition.

You will need:

  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Strong strategic planning, administrative and organisation skills;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of Better Impact (Volunteer management database); and
  • A level of maturity and empathy to work collaboratively within our team and in supporting our volunteers and community.
