About the Role

Whitelum Group’s Operations and Business Development team is seeking an additional member to support our company’s growth. The Business Development Coordinator will work with the Chief Operations Officer and the Consulting team to develop proposals for new opportunities, lead bid writing, source specialist expertise, and develop and maintain connections with clients. The Business Development Coordinator will also assist Consultants with pieces of work, including conducting data analysis, summarising information, background and context research, etc. The Business Development Coordinator will need to be organised, have strong interpersonal skills, and exceptional writing skills. Tasks assigned to the Business Development Coordinator will vary, and the person must be able to ‘step up’ into more responsibility at peak busy times.

This position can be based in either Whitelum Group’s Melbourne Head Office or Canberra office and will work regularly on the phone with our team, clients, and staff based overseas.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Maintaining lists of active and potential opportunities;
  • Development of partner relationships;
  • Drafting quotes and proposals in collaboration with other team members;
  • Managing deadlines and due dates for submissions;
  • Maintaining the website and keeping information up to date

Tender Preparation

  • Managing timelines and coordinating input from other team members;
  • Drafting text for proposals including in relation to organisational capacity, annexes, past experience, etc.
  • Sourcing and liaising with consultants and specialists for contribution to tenders;
  • Assisting in development of policies that drive forward Whitelum Group’s ethical approach.

Supporting Operations and Consultants

  • Provide general support to the consulting team;
  • Provide ad-hoc data analysis and writing for consultants including drafts and background research;
  • Keeping up to date records of past projects and experience sheets.
  • Other duties as required.

Key Selection Criteria

You will be committed to help the company grow with an ethical approach, and happy to be flexible with your work tasks. You will be comfortable working in a small office environment and liaising with other staff on the phone and via teleconference.

Remuneration

This role we be remunerated at $83,822, ranging up to $88,121 for highly experienced candidates - plus 9.5% superannuation.
