Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS) provide care and support to people from Darwin to Docker River, with Aged and Disability Services, Mental Health support, Childcare and Community Care Services, Residential Aged Care and School Nutrition Programs.

We are seeking a Full Time Service Manager who will be responsible for overseeing a newly refurbished residential aged care facility. Terrace Gardens has recently increased to a total of 88 beds to increase the support and care provided to older people in the Darwin and Palmerston region of the NT.

This is a demanding role that would suit an experienced manager to ensure residents are provided with the highest quality care and services within a safe and comfortable environment. You will also be responsible for managing a meals on wheels program for the Greater Darwin Region.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing the daily operations and providing leadership and effective change management to the team
  • Ensuring all services are run in accordance with consumer directed care principles that are also culturally appropriate and clinically sound
  • Ensuring services are run within ARRCS quality frameworks and agreed financial models
  • Ensuring the services comply with legislative and accreditation standards
  • Working in consultation with key internal and external stakeholders to undertake operational facets of people management, Work Health and Safety, finance, contractor management and property maintenance
  • Undertaking all service reporting

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Current Nursing registration with AHPRA is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing community care, residential aged care and / or retirement living services
  • Demonstrated success in facilitation and implementation of change
  • Demonstrated understanding and sound knowledge of consumer directed care
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management of health services
  • Highly developed interpersonal, complex problem solving, written, verbal and Information Technology communication skills
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative frameworks and standards
  • Experience working within and leading a large multicultural and multidisciplinary team
